Gotye launches Fractured Heart in Canberra
When: Friday 15 Feb, 6.00 - 10.00pm
At: National Sound and Film Archive, Canberra, ACT, Australia
Wally collaborated with illuminart to create Fractured Heart, an interactive sculpture that allows visitors to ‘remix’ Somebody That I Used to Know in real time, using their bodies to trigger sounds and light animations.
6:00 pm: Launch of Fractured Heart exhibit by Gotye and illuminart. A free event, no bookings required.
7:30 pm: Visual Music screening in Arc Cinema. Gotye presents works by some of his favourite animators, and talks about his collaborations. Doors open at 7:15 pm. (NB: The Visual Music screening with Gotye is now booked out. You can still come along to the Fractured Heart launch with Gotye at 6pm. Extra seats for the screening might become available on the night, on a first come, first served basis.)
9:00 pm: illuminart After Dark will light up the courtyard with amazing light and sound sculptures. The sculptures have been used by Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Australia. Enjoy a drink and light snack from Teatro Fellini Cafe while you experiment with the sculptures. A free event, no bookings required.
Please be advised there is limited capacity for these events. We advise early arrival to avoid disappointment. Click here for more information.

Gotye has been awarded three Grammys for Alternative Music Album (for Making Mirrors), Pop Duo/Group Performance and Record of The Year (for Somebody That I Used To Know feat. Kimbra) at the 2013 Grammy Awards ceremony in L.A. today.
Check out the video footage of Wally accepting the award for Record of the Year from Prince here.
"I'm grateful to everyone at home for their constant support. It's been amazing and I don't take it for granted.
I'm particularly pleased that my album "Making Mirrors" has been acknowledged as well as the single. Hopefully this means there's a place for adventurous, interesting music out there - and for completely silly music too!"
