Gotye is #1 in the triple j Hottest 100 of 2011

2012-01-27 11:08 by Kate

We're extremely happy to announce 'Somebody That I Used To Know' came in at #1 in this year's triple j Hottest 100. It capped off a huge year in Australia for the song, which beat out worthy competition in the form of 'Lonely Boy' by The Black Keys and 'Brother' by Matt Corby.

Wally had this to say about the achievement, "So many people have shared this song and video since it came out, I’ve been astounded by the response. To everybody who has listened, watched, shared and supported, and to Kimbra and Francois Tetaz, without whom it would not exist, I just say, humbly, thank you."

Gotye had a total of three tracks in the Hottest 100. Also making the cut were 'I Feel Better' at #34 and 'In Your Light' at #87.
