Inform-nation

Monday, February 4th, 2008

There’s been quite a lot said about Gotye lately, a bit too much pfaff to warrant inclusion here. But below is a smattering of press that may be of interest:

* A stint as a librarian may not be the likeliest path towards that of a musician, but it makes for a little light reading

* Inspiration can come out of anywhere and Cara Williams spoke to Wally to find out a bit about some unexpected inspiration that helped launch the Gotye project

* Need some facts about Gotye quickly? Check our Deborah Cooke’s beginner’s guide

* It’s not exactly Revenge of the Nerds as the classic film would have us believe, but it seems that “geek is chic” these days and supposedly it’s Gotye holding the music mantle. Apparently the ARIAs were geek-dominated too

* If you didn’t make it to a show during last year’s tour, you may get an overview of what went on via Lisa Dibs’ great review

My attempts to bribe The Brag were successful this year. Those to ensure correct spelling of my name in The Drum were not.
